There can be no argument...Luke Kelly was the most brilliant, wonderful singer of all...how can one not be touched by the power, passion and beauty of that voice...i really believe that one day soon Luke will truly be recognised as the genius he was.

@tony10396861 I think you're right that he's pushing the low end of his range on this one, and that's the reason for the roughness people are picking up on. Still sounds great tough.

@oskhen85 It doesn't sound like a late recording. Compare this to performances around 1980ish, it's a long way from that. Maybe it's cuz he's singing in a lower key?

He can't always be at his best, can he, even though I think he's wonderful here. But do you know if this is a late recording? It sounds a bit like it.
