  • haha, I get strangely xenophobic when it comes to foreigners interacting with The Smiths.

For me their story will always be a most English of tales, how Johnny the young bright eyed optimistic guitarist unearthed our beloved poet from his bookwormed reclusion, to form one of the most influential bands to ever exist.

It's probably the most platonicaly romantic thing to ever happen in music, how they had to work together to escape their working class dole-ridden fate.

    Oh England <3.

  • if you have a gift to be arrogant about, why hide?

  • morrissey is not as real as he claims, he is clearly a batty man and never admitted it

  • He made loads of videos, so what is he on about? And he funds the dairy industry, hypocrite? < did i spell that right?.maybe? I loved morrissey for ages, 20 years or more ( i still do,as he was a stepping stone to sanity) but you realise once you let your mind see truth, that the dairy industry is as barbaric and murderous as the meat industry ...oh wait , they are the same industry.: / vegetarians = murder. .vegan on the other hand is far more tuned,

  • they apparently changed their minds on the videos and thank goodness for that.

  • Bit hypocritical.

  • fit

  • His personality and mannerisms are fascinating, and also quite amusing. He's much more sorted out now. I'm certain it would've been very difficult to have a relationship (any sort) with him back then. Probably less difficult now, but no more satisfying. Long Live Morrissey, the last great Enigma.

  • ya know i completely agree, but now looking back for some reason it doesnt seem like that, wonder why?

  • I love the Smiths but if I was a young man in the mid 80s - I would have considered Morrissey as a tosser. I have to be honest.

ESPECIALLY when you see these kinds of interviews from this era.

  • Of course, yes Morrissey is arrogant and to say he isn`t is a lie and this is coming from a massive fan, i mean all this what he`s saying is absolute bollock`s, i mean he`s made load`s of music video`s since this so he`s talking shite
