DURING HIS U.S. TOUR in 2008, Biologist and bestselling author Richard Dawkins met with some of the world's leading scientists to discuss topics such as Quantum Physics, Biology, Evolutionary Psychology, Science education, religion, atheism and more. This video brings you the fascinating unedited discussions between Richard Dawkins and Nobel Prize-winning Physicist Steven Weinberg, Physicist Lawrence Krauss, Biologist and blogger PZ Myers, and Evolutionary Psychologist David Buss.

  • Richard's arguement here, around 6.45, is perfectly logical - that if you sit down and show brainwashed morons the facts of evolution they will have to accept them.

The problem is that such people WILL NOT look at the facts, WILL NOT listen, preferring to live their lives with eyes closed, hands over ears, and going "yabba yabba yabba" to stop themselves being "converted" to reality and truth.

  • @PapaWilk

He is laughing at how contagious the sickness of religion is.

  • Dawkins is so much better than this Pee Zed guy.

  • Excellent approach!!! If I were a science teacher, I would say to the students, "I'm here to teach the facts. I'm not going to say there is no God, or that your religion is wrong. If your religion teaches you that the sky is green, I'm not going to say that's wrong. I'm only going to say, LOOK UP and see for yourselves what color the sky really is!" Perfect example! As Sargent Joe Friday on Dragnet would always say . . . JUST THE FACTS MAM! Dum de dum dum . . . dum de dum dum . . . daaaaaaa!

  • @PapaWilk You're right, its wrong to laugh at mental illness

  • @STEPHENWRAYSFORD33 The scary thing is, we are highly unlikly to change the mind of the true believers. Its those on the fence, or just of the fence and a few steps toward the "young earthers", we must get to. Dawkins and Myers have there roles, as does Skott and the like. Think of it like this. You can test one car, and love it. Test all the cars on the lot, and find one you love. Or test one or all cars, and still be shit scared of cars.

  • The big issue I see where PZ & Dawkins address but not Scott, is the reason why cultist deny evolution. If the need is to appeal, give lip service to pastors and give comfort to people in their intellectually sealed off blankets, it's like giving a bribe for protection from a mafia. The real issue is how sorely deprived people are in skills of logic and why appeals to authority is an enabler of sheeple stymies further progress. Noma is bullshit. Fiction is not a sound moral starting point.

  • I love the way Dawkins laughs at the sick girl at 9:45 . That is hilarious!
