Working on two samples for the Tachibana's to choose one from. This is sample #1. I have embossed the copper trim with my hand carved plate of twigs, then put a black patina on the surface to bring out the embossed design. Sometimes it takes a couple times of putting the patina on and sanding off to get the look I desire. Today I will work on the arms and adding an extra copper tubing to the arms for the finished look. Each Kimono is unique. This is a commission through Earthenworks Gallery in Port Townsend WA.
