In a talk at the New York Shambhala Center's Weekly Dharma Gathering, senior teacher John Baker talks about self doubt and how it keeps us from experiencing the present moment and richness in our life.
The New York City Shambhala Center hosts a weekly Dharma Gathering every Tuesday evening from 7-9pm at 118 West 22nd St in Manhattan.
This open house is a great introduction to the Shambhala Buddhist teachings and an opportunity to connect with other practitioners. It features meditation practice, a talk by one of our senior teachers, discussion, and a reception afterwards. Meditation instruction is provided for those new to meditation or who just want a refresher in shamatha meditation.
The dharma gathering is an opportunity to meditate in a supportive group setting, to learn how to apply the principles of meditation to everyday life and to meet and mingle with fellow practitioners. Its always engaging, enlivening and fun! Bring your friends!

Wow! I like the approached on what he said about the(self doubt) sabatore. It is true that we can't kill it. It's a lie,it's a statement and it's fiction. All we have to do is acknowledge that it's there and go around it and not to pay attention to it. Thank you!
