Actually, to all those who think reggae came first, you are mistaken. Ska came before reggae, reggae was a slowed down, more broken down variation of ska.

@skalin yeah but most people (incorrectly, nevertheless) don't know the difference between rocksteady and reggae. Rocksteady came before both ska and reggae

What Ukulele is that, brand wise?

Reggae evolved from Ska. Enough said. Thanks for the lesson. :D

@clonado00 in case you haven't gotten one, it's always good to start at a concert or soprano, so you can get the tuning. But Baritone comes with different strings so you may want to get used to the GCEA tuning so you can switch the strings if you're so inclined.

Reggae is ska music, just a heads up.

I love ska! This video is great. I've only been playing ukulele for a day so I'm having trouble with the muting on the down strum. I'm mostly focusing on just getting the chords down and strumming correctly but I couldn't resist checking out how to play ska on the ukulele. Hopefully I'll get it down soon! Are you muting it with your left hand? Do you have a video that could help with muting?
