I think it's a serious double standard in this country that, if Bill O'Reilly were to say the things he says about gay people about black people, he'd be run out of town (as he well should). But for him to maintain the opinion that gays should not be equal even in the eyes of our government... well I mean it's not like I actually expected him to be enlightened on this issue, but... seriously, Bill. Get with the freakin' program. The times, they are a'changin'

Times change bill. You always talk about "traditional values" and getting back to the "original intentions" of the founding fathers, but you don't realize that our government is DESIGNED to change with the times. If we could not change tradition it would still be legal to own slaves, as it is obvious that the founding fathers never intended slavery to be illegal. We are developing as a country even now, and to say change is bad is to ignore very the spirit of America you so dearly love.

I'm from Sweden, and why the divorce rate are so high in, at least Sweden, is because of the view of marriage is not heavily influenced by religion. It's not guilt-full to divorce in Sweden, like it is in USA. The reason why homophobia is so largely spread in the US is because of the close mindlessness of the people. IF people weren't pressured to stay in unhappy marriages because of the the shame they face when they do leave. The divorce rate would be HUGE in the US.
