Kechara Oasis is one of the thirteen departments of the Kechara organisation. It was founded by His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, and is managed by his long-time student, Irene Lim who has been with Rinpoche for the past 19 years.
Kechara Oasis promotes a healthy, compassionate lifestyle through a vegetarian diet. Rinpoche always says that the mouth that recites holy mantras should not be mixed with the mouth that consumes dead flesh. That is why he is always encourages people to stop eating meat. He wanted to open Kechara Oasis to help people become vegetarian more easily, by providing them with good, healthy vegetarian food.
Kechara Oasis serves all types of vegetarian food, like Vietnamese, Chinese and Tibetan cuisine. They also have Western vegetarian food, and very nice desserts. All of the ingredients are fresh and food is cooked to order, and everything is low fat and low salt. Kechara Oasis shows that when you choose to become vegetarian, you don't need to miss out on the food that you used to enjoy.
There are very few vegetarian restaurants in Malaysia that are as fine dining and elegant as Kechara Oasis, which makes the restaurant a favourite place for newly-wed couples to host their wedding dinner. During these dinners, up to 600 people fill the restaurant. Kechara Oasis is also very good for private parties, conferences and corporate events.
The first Kechara Oasis restaurant was opened in 2009, and has now expanded to a second restaurant in Viva Home. Viva Home one of Malaysia's newest malls and although Kechara Oasis Viva Home is only one month old, the outlet is already doing very well...we're very happy for Irene and wish her every success!

I find those qualities very good and she is a great example on being successful by applying effort.
I have been to the Kechara Oasis in Jaya One. I have not been to the one at viva home. The interior looks very nice. The food looks very nice.
I simply cannot wait to go!
