Taken from Terry Hearn's Quest For Black Eye DVD. Produced for Atomic Tackle. Filmed at Home Pool Syndicate Lake, Bledington in Gloucestershire. A rare opportunity to step into the mind of Britain's most successful Carp angler - Terry Hearn as he embarks on a quest to catch the famous Black Eye at Home Pool. Terry is trying to catch his sixth 50lb plus UK Carp.

  • you should always carry the fish back to the water in the net regardless of who you are and how many people you have with you. That way you will never drop a fish if it starts to flap.

  • @wahoobass Carp can survive for well over a hour if they have to so 3 minutes want harm it at all.

    The fish was obviously fine because it swam off straight away. The only thing he did wrong was carry the fish back to the water in his arms instead of putting it in a sling. Even when he carried it back to the water he held it low to the ground so if it did fall it would hardly damage the fish. He is one of the most knowledgeable and skilled anglers out there so i think he knows what he is doing.
