Gambon had really really REALLY big shoes to fill... Harris was one of THE BEST actors of all time. He simply was Dumbledore, he was amazing.

When Harry woke from the hospital wing, and Dumbledore comes to visit him, in the first movie, you feel that sense of security, that humble yet powerful aura. I didn't feel that with Gambon.
