@TheTriumphTR2 hey, not sure what Gary thinks but we use the vinturi on all of our red wines. We pour a bit into the glass straight out of the bottle and then a bit through the vinturi and compare. It depends on the varietal and age and etc but the vinturi does a great job of opening up things like petit verdot for those of us that are too impatient to let it decant. I'd say, it's worth trying for yourself.
Questions.....WHY do supermarket wine buyers palates suck soooooo bad. I mean, its like they don't even taste the wine....they just buy overpriced shitty wine. Why do i have to go all the way to a boutique or wine store to get a bottle of wine. can you please explain this???
Wow, that's quite an impressive difference! It sounds as though it's living up to the hype... Well, time to order one for myself I think! Thanks for the info.
The Vinturi does work. We use it in the wine shop I work at up here in Wa. State. We've used it on $10 bottles and $100 dollar bottles. We've guessed that it take from a half hour to an hour off decanting time.

Yeah. Our first thought was that it was a $40 gimmick, but it does work quite well.

Petite Sirah is a completely different grape. One to check out is from Earthquake. Great wines from California.

is Petite Sirah the same as Petite Verdot, just different name? or is it two different varieties?

Another superb show Gary! Good to hear you've gone mobile with your comments section too.
I have a quick wine gadget consumer question for you: what is your opinion on wine aerators?
I've heard a lot of talk about the highly acclaimed "Vinturi", and I was wondering if you had any thoughts on it. Cheers.
