Rick Perry accidentally promotes Huckabee

In an apparent verbal gaffe, Texas Gov. Rick Perry tells reporters that Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee would be best in opposing abortion. Perry is backing Rudolph Giuliani. Perry corrects himself when reporters point out the slip.

Rick Perry slipped and said what most Republicans are really thinking "I support Mike Huckabee", to bad Perry did not have the courage to stand behind his statement. Its time for the rest of the Republicans to come out of the shadows and support the best candidate, MIKE HUCKABEE. Time to let all that "electibility" crap go, HUCKABEE will win if we all stand behind him!!!

Perry didn't say Huckabee would be best at opposing abortion....he said "who do I want to support....that would be Mike Huckabee...who do I think can win...that would be Guiliani...Maybe if more people would have the courage to vote for the person they WANT to support, not the status quo we would be lucky enought to have a Mike Huckabee in the White House, not a Rick Perry for our candidate....

That's not true! Mike Huckabee does NOT just say what people like to hear! For example, when McCain, Palin, Romney, and Bush were ALL for the TARP bailout, Huckabee spoke out boldly against it stating that it was unconstitutional and a terrible idea. Just because other candidates do that, don't assume that Mike Huckabee does. He does NOT. He's a proven leader and authentic conservative to his core.

Are you serious? Mike Huckabee for president? Mike Huckabee is a smart guy with corisma, but he's part of the problem. I really don't think he has a clue how to get us out of this mess. Plus he throws in too much religion. Don't be fooled by his smooth tounge and his likable personality. He says what people like to hear and that scares me. I don't want a president that says what we want to hear, we already have that.......

I dont think Perry is dumb...just another politician who bases his support on "who is going to win, and can I get on the wagon" instead of basing his support and decisions on what is "THE RIGHT THING TO DO" which was AND IS supporting Mike Huckabee for president.
