A week or two ago...I spilled a cup o tea on my laptop and have been out of commission. I feel your pain. I had internet trouble for months during the summer. They finally dug up the yard and replaced wiring. Computers are never simple.
Gin soaked raisins do the trick. No drinking... just eating. Hahahaha

Yes, I want to hear all about your past few days. (Are those trees on your chest?) (oh! Nice cup) I feel your pain. We rent our modem from Bell. Your hairs are fine. Lord. You've spent hours - at least I see that you are up and running again. These things make me crazy as well. In fact, I too, have a breakdown over these types of things. I can feel my blood pressure rising as I listen.

Don't you have a spare cable, one from the old, one from the new? I have a bunch, trying to get a new modem from the cable company (at their request) had them sending boxes of wires with no modem. They did that about 3 times before finally getting the order right.
I used to be able to do anything to a computer but since the panic came back it takes a Xanax. Although I can still do stuff to other people's and new builds.
