im not very into keyboards but i am into volume knobs. this instrument has, by far, one of the most unique volume knobs i've ever had the joy of getting my hands on. dont know so much about the sounds and playability but the knob is the real seller here. must buy. 5 stars.

@marviosantos i think you missed the point i was making. i don't want to use a computer. i want to plug in an instrument to a separate multitrack machine on which i record. the micron is an instrument. it isn't a computer in itself, except in the sense that my washing machine is also a computer. i personally don't like everything being on a computer screen. besides, i like the pretty lights.

@XcesMusic I would buy a microkorg if i had the fingers the size of a toddlers. I would buy a MicroKorg if i wanted a new toy. I bought a Micron because I wanted a real keyboard.

@austinrussell32044 The Alesis micron is definitely not the one to get, if you want a cheap one then just go for a microkorg (Not the XL version), but then again the microkorg has small sized keys, so that can get quite annoying. Korg MS-20, Minimoog Voyager XL, EMS Synthi AKS and Arp Odyssey are ideal if you have at least 2000$+ to spend. I don't really know too much about metal bands since I've turned my interest into electronica music a while back. Okay?

would this be an ideal synth for my screamo band? im the singer and screamo is always much more sick with a synth. are there any you would recommend?
