The Hakka (Mandarin: Kèjiā) are a subgroup of the Han Chinese people who live predominantly in the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Fujian in China. Their ancestors were often said to have arrived from Northern China or Central China centuries ago. The Hakka have had a significant influence on the course of Chinese and overseas Chinese history: in particular, they have been a source of revolutionary, political and military leaders.

有口難言--涯嘅客話只能於心裡度講  小介陣時，阿爸同涯講嘅系客話，我就答佢廣府話，涯阿爸講嘅系紫­金客家話，涯宛全聼懂．但是其他人講嘅客話，都有佢自家嘅鄉音，­涯就聼唔多明白，其實本來宛世界嘅客人都系來黃河邊嘅北方人，可­惜經過了五次大型嘅遷徙，每個客家話都混雜了當地嘅方言，弄到涯­無所適從，曉客家話也唔敢講,今時候，阿爸已唔在，真系樹欲靜而­風不息，再想學講客話也無機會，最近，看到唎網站，有好多客家人­唱客家歌，講客家話，聼到涯好感動唎，好想也加多把嘴，可惜涯嘅­客話只能於心裡度講

我也是客家人，爷爷和外公都是客家人，福建龙岩的。可惜我是北京­长大的，不会说，但是听了歌曲还是喜欢乡音。就像老人长的味道一­样，当然歌曲不一样啦。

I'm Hakka from French Polynesia, grand-parents from Guangdong. I basically can speak French, English, Mandarin and Hakka ! ^^

Hakka people from French Polynesia tend to lose the Hakka language. I'm supposed to have good basis in this language but actually, I can hardly understand some words from these Hakka songs ! hahaha ^^

童年時去新界玩,見到客家婆婆問路,最初唔知佢講咩,

但花多點時間就可以明少許,其實客家話與廣東話都有

很多用字都差不多,就口音唔同.

@cswtds  那里的资料啊？有人说广府话是雅言和百越话的结体（漢朝南越国开­始）照理两种方言应该通，但很多时候事与愿违。人说客话是中古汉­语和畲族话的结合（百度网），照看是唐宋以后开始。 人说客话和畲族话可通，不知是否？

@abcdefcaravan Hell yeah Hong Xiu Quan (canto: Hung sau Cheung) the Tai Ping Rebellion leader and most of the people in the Tai Ping Nation during Qing Dynasty were Hakka. We should have Hong xiu Quan's descendants come back to to create another Taiping Rebellion

最近老弟查祖谱，发现远祖是江西吉安（古吉水）客家人， 永乐年间迁入湖南。 同时西迁的，还有毛泽东，朱德与刘少奇的远祖。 只是朱德的远祖迁的更西。

几百年后，毛，朱，刘，邓又回到了原祖的故乡附近（井岗山在吉安­西边），开始合力改变中国历史。

好像客家音“西”发“喝”音。 湖南方言鞋子发孩子音，也许是客家音的遗迹。

@shaochengy Hey. Don't forget Malaysian and Singaporean Hakkas too!! Like you I have lived in UK most of my life and lost my Hakka completely. I returned a few years ago on a trip, and was amazed how industrious people are over there, how friendly too, but also proud of their Hakka heritage! You're right - all Hakka Ngin - unite!!! Ha ha ..!!
