For a common BP test I agree that measuring it in the a.dorsalis pedis (or posterior tibial) would be an odd thing to do, but if you would want to know if there is atherosclerosis in the legs, it is a valuable test (comparing it to the BP in the upper arm). Also: thanks for your response:)
@McBethklok This device could most certainly be used to find the pulses in the posterior tibial, and likely dorsalis pedis, but does not really have a function of blood pressure. The challenge with a blood pressure cuff and using this as a stethoscope could give you a ball park idea. It would be highly dependent on user skill more so than a stethoscope. It would also likely vary based on the cuff you used as these are two vessels that are not commonly measured for BP. Essentially, Yes.
I'm wondering if such a device could be used for checking the bloodpressure in the posterior tibial artery (using a cuff and this device). Same for the dorsal pedis artery.
@neobrown81 ultrasounds arent to hurt the baby. they are to check the health, so of course its not harmful, or there wouldnt be any such thing as ultrasounds :) ive had 3 so far, and im scheduled for a 4th one. they are completely harmless.

Does the ultrasound hurt the baby in any way? I love this invention but I don't want to overuse it, thank you.
