My fav. Brand is the Appraisal Brand. I try to transfer at least one to the Collector. Tip: you can parasitize another parasite to combine their abilities, since an item or Yourself can only have one parasite at a time. Fusing with another one will kill the original and its corpse will take up a slot. :)

I play with the map up, too. Most of the time, I don't even realise it's there. Fun Tip: Use restoratives like bones (Sweat works well) and Fluids to top out your HP/VT, THEN use Flesh & Hearts to boost the Maxes. :)
