Some interesting stuff and thoughts on the subject. ATK runs Lake City Ammo for the military and is the sole supplier. It wouldn't take much to create the bottleneck on an already strained supply chain in the world of ammo. All the other companies are small time compared to them. Wolf is probably the next larges and they are far away overseas so there is a lag with them. All they would have to do is stop production or divert it to military and police and it would jam up the works. All that would take to get rolling is a call from D.C. This company is +75% Dependent on the military and would fold if they started loosing contracts.

  • is there still ammo shortages? i havent seen any new videos on this

  • @piketyl000 not lately. The guys that were buying 5k rounds at a time must have run out of room in the basement.

  • We are get a good bit of ammo here in AZ

  • @mythoughtprocess Well things have changed since I made this video. Lots of ammo now that the frenzy has died down. Some still can't get .380 though.

  • Heres the kicker... our 2nd Amendment states we have the right to bear arms what it does not state and what our government noticed finally is that we have the right to bear arms but not AMMO! All I can say is as fucked up as that is... if you want or need ammo now, you better go grab what ever you can regardless of caliber, mm, size, length, shots, grains, and etc. because if you meet someone with what you need and they have you can trade rounds (pun intended) and get the ammo u need. Stay safe.

  • @scgriffey Well Ammo is a part of the "Arms" so I'd disagree with you there. No doubt they'd like to try that nonsense but it's as absurd as them saying we have a right to petition for redress of grievance just not to expect an answer from the govt...huh?

LMAO i think that some people have this misconception of gun owners and gun rights supporters like we're all a bunch of dumb rednecks.

FOR THE RECORD I love guns. I love to shoot. I find it relaxing, and a very enjoyable sport.

I can't stand beer. I drink maybe once a month.

I brush my teeth twice daily.

I don't overemphasize the H's in my speech, nor do I have a southern draw.

    I don't wear flannel.

I don't shoot cats from my front porch.

    I'm not a hunter.

    ignorance is bliss....

  • HPR makes great ammo, and prices are fair, 223 50 rounds 19.69 free shipping, no tax.

the more you buy the more you save.

HPR they have their own web page. sell direct tot he customer.

    HPR ammo

  • Keep 100,000 rounds IN STOCK and SHOOT the rest.

Praise YOU Jesus and pass the AMMO.

  • @SendARope Way to claim how high you are by dropping the "N" bomb. Keep it classy racist!

Oh and BTW the ammo shortage is due to a couple of wars.(Iraq & Afghanistan) There was a shortage during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam as well. Try reading a history book, you might be shocked to learn that what you are brainwashed in is rather lacking in substance.

  • the us military bay the production capasity here in Norway and the rest of europe

  • @RayAir1 i bought it at the same price. crazy how it jumped 100 dollars

  • @joeratti Two months ago I bought 1000rd of loose pack LC SS109 5.56 from CTD for $349.99. I went to buy 1000 more rounds last week and saw the price went up to $479.99!!

  • Can pretty much get everything now.

I remember a year or two ago and you couldn't get anything- no 380, 40 or 9mm, no 7.62 or 5.56-nothing!

  • It's mostly greed. I was at Bass Pro the other day and the salesman told me one guy came and bought a whole pallet of 9mm. The next weekend it showed up at the gun show selling for double the price. It looked like a shortage at the store because the shelves were empty. This is nothing but greed induced. Don't believe the hype.

  • The Lake City Ammo Plant is owned by the US Government. ATK is just the most recent operator of the plant. Fake numbers following as illustration. US Government orders 10,000,000 M193 at say .10/round. Cost to produce that amount is .13/round. To acheive to .10/round ATK produces 12,000,000 rounds of M193. The extra 2,000,000 is sold to the wholesalers as XM193 at say .20/round. Back when Federal ran the plant the government bought (from what I understand) the run on a cost plus basis

  • its a shortage because all the rednecks are showing up and buying everything up like its going extinct. stupid rednecks. its easier to buy ammo now then it was a year ago thats for sure.
