I read Mr.Veidt's memo ref. the product line and tried to mix the innocence, sexuality and er, nostalgia he specified. Back in 1985 everyone was nostalgic for the 1950s, Wayfarers were back, every Levi's ad had a 1950s feel to it. But in the Watchmen America had, thanks to Dr Manhattan pretty much skipped the free love revolution, so I reasoned they were 'missing' a decade or so and chose to bias the imagery towards the 1940s albeit through a mid 80s filter, If that makes any sense.
Hi Josh,
'Course I remember you! How are you? What's up?
Everything is going well here, trying to turn Tink's Kitchen into a TV series at the moment. Obviously there'll be room for you should it go ahead.
Have you got my number?

Wow! This is the best one so far. Fits perfectly with the graphic novel. Music, image, feel, everything. 5 Stars!
