Lily Evans-Potter made alot of sacrifices in her life before she made the ulitimate sacrifice that saved not only her son's life but also the world that she wasn't even born into, but fought for none the less.

This video shows her struggles through her childhood, her falling in love as a teenager while trying to keep a relationship with her sister and fighting the ultimate darkness as an adult.

Honestly, I think she treated Snape the way he needed to be. If someone went around calling all of my friends 'Nigger' but me, I'd have broken off a friendship with him long before he called me 'nigger' in the heat of a moment, and that's effectively what Snape was doing.

I love Snape, but if Lilly had sat there an continued being a doormat, I don't think he'd have grown up to have the courage, and the sense of right and wrong, that he did.

Lily is such a wonderful character. Her strength, love, courage and her ultimate sacrifice are what make her so complex and interesting. Without her (and Snape), there wouldn't be Harry Potter! There should be more Lily fans out there! I'm proud to name her as one of my top 3 favorite HP characters.
