MUGEN: Ayu Tsukimiya vs. Patchouli Knowledge

I never thought that I would go that far but I just did. I whack down the not-so-innocent book girl known as Patchouli Knowledge in my longest single battle yet!

Now, Patchouli will take every second of her life to prevent you from reaching her by swarming your ass with mass projectiles and geysers that spawn from nowhere. Thankfully, Ayu's Recoil Guard just proves to be the perfect counter for that. Anyways, in Round 2, Patchouli becomes like her buddy Marisa and goes through 4 boss-like phases. Of note is her final one, where she becomes invincible and shoots streams of bullets at you 'till she dies. Screw up (even while blocking) and the projectiles will eat you. Unfortunenly, this phase seems to be bugged if you block instead: the bullet will keep swarming you 'till they're gone and then, Patchouli will stand there, motionless... and still invincible, which pretty much calls for the F4 button since you can't do anything there. And who said that someone can't take advantage of restarts?

Geez, and I thought my video where I fight Marisa Kirisame as Ayu was longass! Any video where Ayu takes out godly characters is an automatic favorite of mine (except for some reason I stopped favorited my own videos recently). Oh, and that bug you mentioned. It is in Toma's Patchouli in particular. This happened several times in my attempts to beat her as White Len.

other than the recoil healing, Ayu seems to be a good character.

HELL NO ITS NOT THE SAME!! The characters in mugen are home made and thuss most are broken and cheap. thats why no one really likes using touhou characters in mugen.

True, but in my experience, you can dash through just about any specal in IaMP. Is the same to be said here? I've never actually played Mugen, so I wouldn't know.

i mean bad ai as in those that regenerate with a use of a spell card and do it everytime their life gets low there by making it impossible to beat. and also during a spell card attack they're almost invincible??? anyways that was months ago and i noticed a lot of remakes and new characters that aren't as cheap as the older touhou/mugen characters

Most of the Touhou characters are straight from IaMP, so they are legit to each other.

mugen would be fun if people didn't make broken characters. im not talking bout joke ones either im talking about characters that are suppose to be legit but have bad ai like all the touhou characters
