This video shows part of the Artist in Residence programme of Germaine Acogny at the Amsterdam School of the Arts 2009-2010. Funmi Adewole interviews Ciré Beye. They talk about Ciré's approach to teaching African dance and the way he structures his classes. In this part Ciré explains why he likes to teach students with no experience in African Dance. He also reflects on his experiences to teach students with an African background. You see first and second year students of the Bachelor of Dance in Education at the Theatreschool - dans Amsterdam as well as some footage shot at l'Ecole des Sables in August 2008
