Rhett Miller performs his rewrite (or as Rhett puts it, "theft") of the Bob Dylan classic, "Desolation Row" at the Belmont Hotel in Dallas, TX on 06/03/10. This song is a candidate for inclusion on the new Old 97s album they've been recording this spring.

  • I'm a Floridian who worked in Champaign for a month. Had sex with 4 different girls that month and watched the Florida Gators win the National Championship in a warm hotel. It was kind of like heaven. If I ever go back there, it will be in the winter.

  • sounds more like bruce springsteen than dylan maybe

  • Great version!!

  • Nice! The New York Times was right.

  • this song is great; heard it tonight on a station that I hardly ever pick up; in fact, I don't even remember ever picking it up before on the fm dial. can't even remember the call letters, or whatever they are called, but I sure can remember this song. this song is great.

  • I need to go to one of these. Thanks for uploading
