The Fender Squier Jazz V (Affinity) model bass modified w/ Fender Noiseless pickups, a pickup pan pot & master vol. Upcoming changes include LeoQuan Badass bridge, active EQ & new strings. Will it be worth the time & money? check parts 3 & 4!! I'll also post a side by side comparison of the the 4 "cheap" basses w/ without mod's when I done all. Thanks for watching & please rate & add comments if you like.

  • Hey man I've been watching your videos for quite some time and I have to be honest you make the Squire basses with all of the modifications that you do to them sound great. I kind of feel like a fool paying for a Fender MIM Jazz Bass of P-Bass and after modifying them they sound just as good a the Squires that you modify. With this being said I think that I will get a new 5 string Squire Affinity and Modify it out. Any recommendations on modding out one of these basses?

  • @MrQuikfuze5 Thanks, you made me watch this again & it DOES sound good!. hahaa. I sold this bass & now I'm looking for another one.. I'd say try a few of them to be sure you get one that already feels & sounds good. Some are cheese. Main mods = better PUs Seymores, betr Fender, SCNiii's, Fralin, maybe DiMarzio stackd (haven't tried yet) & better bridge, that was my next mod. I like the KSM Foundation, strings sing & bottom end gets CLEAR & defined - as if you EQ'd highs in just the low B & E.

  • im wondering if this bass would be perfect for me, on this moment im playing on a Warwick, but in my oppinion this sounds better, looks better, but do they play better....

  • @MaggiesBookshop I can't imagine this sounding better than a real made in Germany Warwick! it must just be me hahaha UNLESS, you have one made anywhere but Germany (i.e. Asia) then, the pickups & possibly fingerboard would be the difference, the body size diff too.

  • Where and how can I get a Badass V and Badass II bridge

  • @Dthorn912 I have a new fave bridge & it comes in a 5-string. See my vid "KSM Foundation Bass Bridge vs stock "

  • @paapakobe where did you buy the noiseless pick-ups?

  • man just get yourself a fender...

  • whats illegal thumbing lol?

  • hey,nice modifications! :)

is a 5 string much less playable than the 4 string?

  • i get better sound of my 150$ ibanez gio that came in a jumpstart set

  • You're funny and you play some really nice groovy style man. I'm buying an Affinity and i'm really liking the sound of it. One Question : this bass doesn't have active electronics right? Cuz if it does I won't buy it, I like deep passive sound on my bass eheh . Peace Dude.
