  • Very cool!! I love this kinda products. It's good to play homebrew stuff on actual hardware! Thanks for the great review... :)

  • Thanks. Yeah I love products like this to, especially when they use USB, the perfect combo of new and old technologies! Some products like these are limited to using a serial or parallel or even old printer port which my modern PC does not have so I appreciate the USB versions. I have 2 colecovisions (one as a back up) so this cartridge is a great accessory.

  • this is sort of like what was produced for the nes a few years back that alllowed one to play pc downloaded nes roms on their nes, the powerpak, it's called, i own one and don't know how I lived without it, being the huge nes gamer i am.

  • great vid.. im on that thank you rom,, i think... or at least everyonelovesbutters is... my top 3 fave coleco games are vnture, mouse trap and jumpman junior,, oh and turbo was grouse too..

  • lol, i was just kidding about getting two.

but ok, i think i want one more than a flashcard for vectrex now.

i think i'll be saving up to get one.

  • Well no I would not suggest buying 2 unless money is no object, Coleco roms take up almost no space so just fill the cart up with your favorites and archive the rest, the whole rom set on you hard drive or even backed up to a CD takes up almost no space at all, just load onto the cart (very simple) as required. Yes if you don't like emulators or tons of carts taking up space then this is your best option for sure................

  • so i would need two of those multicards ? ;D

seriously, i'm thinking of getting into coleco because it has many nice games.

if i can get my hands on a expantion module

it could play atari games as well i suppose.

maybe i need an atari multicard too. :D

together that would corner a impressive game liberary i think.

well, i guess i don't like emulators and i hate

    mountains of cartridges,

what else can i do ?

  • From a quick Google search:

All told, approximately 170 titles were released on plug-in cartridge s during its lifetime

That is just retail games of course, not including hacks, unreleased, proto types, homebrew etc.....

  • ok, i guess i'm just lazy whishing it was like my sean kelly multicard for vectrex.

but as long as it's not too big a struggle to hunt down roms, get it working or need a degree in advanced computing, i don't mind i guess.

any idea howmany games there are for colecovision ?

  • Er, no, not really, at least not in my opinion. I mean it is not hard to find, download then just load to the cart, not much effort at all really and well worth it. The alternative would be to track down and pay for all the actual carts so if you consider that then it is a very simple option in comparison. Yes it does require SOME effort if you have never done it before but like anything worth having you get out of it what you out into it.
