A group with interest in owning the St. Louis Rams football team has dropped conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh as a potential business partner, because, according to Dave Checketts, "his involvement in our group has become a complication."

Instant reaction from Arianna Huffington, who suggests he was dumped from the group because "he's radioactive," while Kevin madden argues that "political adversaries" want to prevent Rush from owning the team.

  • they didnt want him? then why was he in the original group of investors? It only became an issue when that Racist Jessie Jackson caught wind and blew it out of proportion. Nice try though.

And since when is having a passionate fan with tons of cash to pump into the franchise "bad for business"? You probably think Mark Cuban is bad for the NBA too huh? haha

They didn't want him after they realized that many Americans view Rush Limbaugh as a huge egocentric tool who is a polarizing personality...and that some of those Americans would refuse to buy Rams tickets. Bad publicity.

I imagine they initially wanted him because the group members know Rush on a personal level and I am sure he is less controversial off the air.

  • Well said, Arianna. :)

  • @IronMongol

    Get a Clue!

  • @brendandugan

    get a grip

I feel bad that you are a mindless drone who believes what the TV tells you to believe. Develop your own perception based on facts and circumstances, not on libturds nonsensical bashing of an opposing figure.

  • @brendandugan

I feel bad for you if you really think it's worth defending him,

    peace

    lmao

  • if the other group did not want him, why was he in the group to begin with you turd. and yes, these "racist" comments were made LONG BEFORE the group was formed to buy the Rams. He was forced out by losers playing the race card. Get a clue kid.

  • Goodell didn't want him, the group didn't want him, the other NFL owners didn't want him, the players didn't want him.....what more ?
