  • You are the best!

  • @Marcunis4

    wow...thanx man!

  • Once again what a fantastic tone!

    This is so Great!!

I'm also into replacing my old neck with a Warmoth V neck..

I'm searchin for a Musicman Luke kind of neck or the Lukather Valley arts Custom pro signature..So my question is if you have had the chance to play a Luke or Valley arts Lukather signature and if you think those necks are the same as the Warmoth V neck?

    Thanks alot,

    Robin

  • Hi Robin,

if I recall correctly the V on the Luke is a bit more prominent compared to the Warmoth witch is actually based on the Clapton strat. The neck on the Luke as also an asymmetrical shape...I would say that they are similar kind of neck , but not the same.

Pay attention also on the fingerboard radius (12"on the Luke) and type of frets (low profile jumbos) cause they play a major role too...

    Hope this can help!

    Take care!

  • Which version of OD-100 do you use ?

Also I'd like to know what pickup you are using with your strat....

  • Actually is a '97 original version (Standard version nowadays), with the Scott Henderson mod on boosted first channel.

In this strat actually single coils are Fralin Blues Special, with a JB on bridge position...I'm going to replace it with a set of Suhr (FL/FL/SSV)

  • Dude, that was fantastic

  • Very dated sound, but you're an amazing guitarist! ;-)

  • Actually Black Mamba it's just the nickname I gave to this gtr...

The neck is a Warmoth custom made on my specs ( V shape flame maple, brazilian rosewood fretboard, 10" radius, stainless steel jumbo frets) that I really like.

All the rest in this strat as changed over the years, including a couple of bodies (always in black of course!)

  • Usually my main amp is a Custom Audiio OD100, but in this solo I played using my Mesa TriAxis boosted with a Keeley Blues Driver and some delay and reverb from a Lexicon MPXG2, all direct in a MOTU audio board
