I love Wandering child and I like the swordfight. Of course Phantom lost - he was not trained aristocrat like Raoul! To be blunt, Phantom often attacked his victims from the back - like Raoul here! - showing more cunning and viciousness than bravery.

i like gerard butler but..... eh i dont like his voice very much. Emmy Rossum is ok and she has gotten better over the years. BUT i absolutely LOVe Michael Crawford his voice is so soothing :) as for Sarah Brightman all i can say is amazing :D sorry for my mindless babbling and use of capitals :D

@LilMsJordanBubbles Probably because Raoul was a noble who was trained in swordfighting from childhood while Erik was just a torture specialist in Persia. You don't have to have any skills with a sword to torture people.
That said, this scene is stupid. Who thought it would be a good idea to include it?

This proves Michael was better Butler lost his sword Michael would of never lost his sword he would of killed Raoul that simple more over Leroux's phantom was a master at all he did so a child would of never beaten him I hate Joel hope he dies for what he did the our beloved Phantom of the Opera

i hate the swordfight SOO much! we all know that erik would never lose a swordfight, and to raul of all people, erik would of given way more than a tiny scratch on the arm!
