Some people need visuals to respect and understand nature. If you are one of them, look up Patalpani accident. Or Patalpani waterfall accident. After watching the video on youtube, realize that out of those 5 people swept away, two survived.

They were standing on the granite right behind the rails, NOT in the river! But OF COURSE that granite can be very slippery!

Where did the geniuses decide to hop the rail? I don't see anywhere that it looks safe to be in that river. I would have nervous installing the rail, wonder who did the work. I see the wire mesh on the lower railings, is that an afterthought? has anyone else fallen over these falls?

@86CUCVM1009 THAT is EXACTLY what is wrong with our society, is that "everyone defines words differently". They probably said the EXACT same thing to themselves when they read the sign "Well everybody defines those signs differently". It sounds like you might somehow be blaming yourself. DONT!. I know you prolly loved them but EVERYONE does dumb stuff. Some survive their dumbness some don't. I broke both legs riding with a drunk driver.& spent nearly a year in a wheelchair. That was DUMB.too.

@emjee everyone defines "mistake" differently and everyone in their lives make a decision, some get lucky some don't, takes seconds to go beyond that limit. But you didn't know those young people, i knew Hormiz David, he is my cousin, he was a great guy. Believe me, every night i ask myself over and over why they jumped over the rail and risked their lives for seconds to take a picture, but i will never say they were dumb. But then again everyone defines "dumb" differently as well.

All I see is an insanely fast and powerful conveyor belt to death. Like nothing else I've seen. That is amazing. I went up into the sierras to the American when the water was raging like this a couple months ago I could see death in the water. I've done stupid dangerous things, but I wouldn't get near that.
