Scar wasn't always evil.When the cubs were small,their jerk father favored Mufasa over Taka/Scar because Mufasa was bigger,had red hair & a lighter-colored coat and Taka had black hair/green eyes like the mother.He picked on on Taka constantly,told him he'd never be good as his brother and never be king.Since brawn and conventional good looks were more valued than brains,Taka was never able to realize his own worth,and over time his envy twisted him into the evil,corrupt Scar.

@hellokittyrms16 Exactly what shogun said. simba was super pissed, and mufasa was super shocked, and was hanging on with his claws. simba had a better hold on the rock, so that's another reason.

Hmmm, as much love as I have for Mufasa I can't help but feel like if he had focused as much on being a big brother as much as he focused on being king, this movie would have been over in 10 minutes lol.
I know it's just a movie, but yeah Mufasa definetly should have shown more love to his baby brother lol.
