  • Gospel of Thomas Logion 53:

His disciples said to him, "Is circumcision useful or not?"

He said to them, "If it were useful, their father would produce children already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect."

  • Gospel of Thomas Logion 14:

Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray, you will be condemned, and if you give to charity, you will harm your spirits.

When you go into any region and walk about in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them.

After all, what goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it's what comes out of your mouth that will defile you."

  • The Koran/Qur'an, in it's earlier "revelations" was rather amicable towards Christians & Jews. It was only later, after both rejected Muhammad as a legitimate & God-inspired prophet that he had "revelations" referring to Christians & Jews as "Infidels" & that they should submit or die! Unfortunately, the Koran is ordered by length of Chapters rather than date of writing. As mentioned below, read "The Sword of the Prophet" by Serge Trifkovic: truly a historically accurate rendering of Islam!

  • For clarification on Christian & Jews (called "others" & "infidels" now for the "perversion" of their Scriptures as taught by Muslims, below) see the Qur'an/Koran, Surah (Chapter) 3, verses 56 thru 71 (written in 7 c. A.D.) More on Mary & Jesus is in Surah 19, which is really based on actual corrupted Gnostic & Heretical Christian Texts condemned early by The Church as such. It's actually a weird if not funny account of Mary & Jesus & rejected by ANY Christian of any reputable denomination!

  • One interesting case in point: Christians & Jews were considered "People of the Book" by Muslims only so far: they teach that Jews & Christians purposely[!] "perverted" their Scriptures to lure people away from the [Muslim} "truth" as was only kept pure by Abraham (their claim is that he founded "Islam," which is nonsensical since Islam only came in the 7th cent., A.D. thru "inspiration" from Angel Gabriel. Non-Islamic scholars tend to attibute that to hallucinations from Epileptic seizures!)

  • Clarification for below: Verse 2 of GENESIS speaks of God's SPIRIT hovering over the waters. Genesis, Chapter one, verse 26 and on contains his reference to "US" (as God) making "Man in OUR Image," both male and female. Interestingly, the O.T. Hebrew word for "Spirit" (as in "of GOD") is "RUAH", which is in the feminine gender, So God would obviously have both feminine and masculine within Him in order to create both in "their" Image, no? Plenty refs. to TRINITY in O.Test. seen thru New Test!

  • There r plenty places in Judeo-Christian Scriptures that allude and refer to Christ's pre-incarnate (before taking a human body thru Virgin Mary) existence as Son and WORD of GOD. In Genesis, Chapter 1, God constantly SAYS to create (implying use of His WORD, i.e. Jesus Christ: See Gospel of John, 1st Chapter!) Verse 2 speaks of the SPIRIT OF GOD over the water, God constantly refers to himself in plural, "Let US make...in OUR Image" in Gen.1:26 & on.All refers to 1 God, Fr., Son, Holy Spirit!
