I started out about 225 lbs. I'd been that weight for 10 years. I was an athlete in High School and enjoyed lifting weights. Although I was strong, I was never "cut" or "ripped". After our twins were born, my wife and I always talked about how we really needed to have a healthier lifestyle and eat better and get more exercise but we never got moving on any of our good intentions. After Christmas 2009, we decided to change the way we ate. We started eating only whole grains, no sugar, sugar soda and nothing to eat after dinner time. We dropped some weight but I plateaued with no exercise routine to push my body. We decided to buy the P90X system for each other for Valentine's day. It was the best Valentine's day present we have ever given each other. We started on Feb. 14 and finished three months later on our anniversary. We did every workout, 6 times a week even on vacation. We ate right, foloowed the nutrition guide and kept each other motivated and on track. I am glad to say we are down a total of almost 100 lbs as of the posting of this video. P90X works if you do. It gets you moving and keeps you aware of the things you put into your mouth. If you have any questions feel free to post a comment or send me a message. It has been a great transformation in our lives and I would be happy to help in any way that I can.
In response to many questions about my diet- I followed the Nutrition guide pretty closely. Why work that hard and not give your body what it needs right? I really enjoy whole food now. I don't eat fast food, refined sugars, white bread or soda. I used a protein shake from Costco and took USANA vitamin supplements. Hope that answers some questions.
Check out our blog at www.healthyfuel.blogspot.com for some of our family's favorite healthy recipes we've used in our p90x journey.

Cheers to all you fellow p90X'ers!
