@Shelby500nos actually cars rapidly decrease in value.. so there is a good chance that if he really wanted to, he could own one... in the distant future though.

Technically it is: acceleration is any change in velocity i.e. change in direction speed (slowing or speeding up). But yes since the clutch basically stops the flow of power to the wheels, the car is coasting, not speeding, (accelerating as you said), up. Word up to my high school physics teacher and that fool Dave on his techno babble column in Sport Compact Car.
