RIP Tiger the stray baby kitten

Tiger was a cat I named because of its stripes on his back, a baby stray my friends and I found while taking a walk near a park. He was an energetic and very friendly kitten that would have been an amazing addition to any family. Such a shame, he passed away on August 16, 2010.

At first I thought it was a dog off leash as there were other people walking ahead of us and I only saw something orange heading towards us.... only to realize it was a tiny kitten. After a few seconds the street was empty with no other person and no other cat. We were thinking of just walking by when we realized the kitty was heading towards the street and freaked at the idea of it getting hit by a car. But it was so young, it didnt know what to go near and what to stay away from. So we started calling around shelters and then finally the police station because no where was open and willing to take him in because of full capacities already.

The police wasn`t really able to help us either other than saying it`s probably best if one of us keeps it for the night and try calling places again in the morning when more shelters are open since it was nearing midnight. Since I was the only one with any experience with animals, having owned dogs, hamsters, fish, reptiles, worked at a pet store so therefore working with everything.... I brought it home.

I`ve never had a cat before, though I`ve known friends who had cats and met their cats, I`ve never really gotten close to one let alone brought one home. Which explains why I took so many photos and videos of it though in reality I only had the cat for a span of a few hours overnight.

I was lucky to have been able to catch a friend at the right moment, someone who I knew use to have 2384092402 cats and was a cat expert/lover, to tell them about Tiger. As soon as she heard about him she wanted him IMMEDIATELY and thus adopted Tiger.

Things were going well, he was well fed, cleaned, vaccinated, got insurance, etc. The one thing we all didn't see coming is a blood disease he had that ended up being fatal. When taken to the vet to get her medications after hearing the news, he ended up getting a seizure there even before getting the meds he needed. Because of the seizures, his heart ended up failing. Most likely because of his age and size, that one seizure was enough to take him down.

He was only probably 7-8 weeks old, it was such a shame and tragedy this happened. I am currently going through a personal loss of my own dog Pudding who also passed away near the same time, similarly from her long fight against seizures that she too lost to. So, I was deeply saddened to hear the news that this cat we saved had also passed away from seizures directly few days after wards. All I can do is hope that Tiger is in a better place than the on-the-street life he only had a chance to experience. This is one of the saddest things in the world. I'm sobbing so hard. I'm so so so sorry. I know how it feels to lose a good friend like that. He's in Heaven now and you'll see him again. That's what I believe.

Oh my God, I am so sorry! I know how you feel. I lost my dog Princess when I was about 4. First she was so sweet. But then some kids came by & started throwing stuff at her. She started being mean to people except for me,my sister & my mom. We tried all kinds of homes for her but none worked. I never found out what happened to her until last year. she was put down when I was 5. And I'm 15 now!!!!!!

@demeterlol ...<3 I'm so sorry for your loss, it's incomprehensible why people choose to be so mean to such powerless others. Your Princess was definitely a victim to such cruelty that changed her innocence, I'm so sorry you've only now found out that your family had to choose to put her down. Know she went in peace, understanding that your family, including yourself, loved her very much. Use that love and continue loving others like her. Everyone dserves to be loved.

AHHH this video makes me cry a second right after it starts every single time I watch it. It makes me so incredibly sad :( Especially because last month I rescued a 5 week old kitten and she's the love of my life. Your kitten reminds me so much of her, the way he plays & his actions. It's as if I'm watching my own baby on here. I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't even know what I would do if that happened to my kitten, so I can only imagine. Tiger knew he was lucky to have met you.

I got my 2 kittens 3 weeks ago wen they were 9 weeks old and wen I watched this video I started cryim my eyes out even thinkin that a kitten died and I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm vryin while I'm writing this R.I.P little guy

oh crap! I don't know why I clicked this! I knew it would make me cry! I'm so sorry!!! I've had a cat that died too. it was a long time ago but I just hope it's some kind of consolation. I know it was a bad decision to put my cat down but we didn't really have much of a choice and she was starving herself. I'm glad you didn't have to make one! The good thing is that you'll know that pretty much nothing bad can happen to him now.

I am happy you took in tiger you may had him for short time but he was love and he gave love in returne an he did not have to die all along like many stray cats an kittens now he is the arms of Mother Nature an if you see a cat from the corner of your eye it is tiger checking to see that you and your family are safe. i just hate when someone in your family just has to go when its there time...... *eyes get watery* like ive had the same thing happen to me a puppy i loved he was only *starts crying*..... about mabye a few weeks old......he was born small...his brother and sisters lived but well 2 of his sisters did live but his other didnt...:( well dont wanna say much but yyea thats all i really wanted to say *wipes tears* *crys a little bit*.... :'(
