LCA is underdevelopment from more than two decades since its conception; the LCA has yet to reach production status. Instead, it continues to perform endless flight tests and most of these tests were also failed. Difficulties with its flight controls & power plant (kaveri engine) are still there and the worst of which was the collapse of the engine during high-altitude tests.In normal circumstances this would be considered a failed project.
