The "Wild" Burros of Oatman, Arizona

These friendly critters are one of the many, many fun things to see during my motorcycle travels. The burros are descendants of those used by the miners way back when. As the mines started shutting down, the miners no longer had a use for the burros, so they just released them. The burros now roam around the Southwest desert areas, and are one of the fun attractions at Oatman, Arizona located on old Route 66.

The song is entitled "Say You Believe" by Amanda Kaletsky, and it has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to the topic of the video project, but at least it's pleasant sounding and, most importantly, it is one of the "officially approved" songs out of YouTube's own "AudioSwap" music library, so the song's use on YouTube is presumed to be O.H.F. (Officially Hassle Free LOL).

That's happened to me SO many times in my biking life as well!, but yeah, the road from Kingman to Oatman is wonderful too for bikers, with narrow, twisty turns and get vistas.

Do you remember the date this video was taken. I'm 99% sure that the Murano driving thru town at the end of the clip is my car and we visited Oatman in June 2008. We've been back since but in a different car.

Use to live there. Just get out of the way during mating season. Not a pretty sight. You think there are so many other places..All one can say is ooooook.

Hi Brian! I've done a LITTLE bit of searching on some royalty free sites, but need to do more. It's just a bummer that YouTubers can't use all the great music out there. Maybe one day YouTube and the music companies will make new contracts and can again be friends.
