Liszt's Consolation No. 2 in E Major is incredibly soothing and elegant...makes me think of Dirk. I wonder if he chose this piece of music at the radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs...I did remember he chose Adagietto - 4th Movement from Gustav Mahler's Symphony No.5 (from Death In Venice), the music I'll always associate with this wonderfully talented man.
