Levi's® South Africa was responsible for music collaboration called CD 4 involving 15 of Souh Africa's top music artists.
This unique music collaboration on one album was a Levi's® Red for Life HIV / AIDS initiative.
Featuring a collection of South Africas most prominent artists, CD 4 is the product of a collective give. As a non-profit initiative in its entirety, all musicians involved in this album have discounted their time and services for what is ultimately not only a good cause, but a necessary one.
Produced by the legendary Theo Crous, 'CD 4'is a collection of beautiful songs, held together by the common acoustic thread. Reworking a collection of original home-grown songs that have defined a generation, the album toys with the listeners perception of familiar and unfamiliar, ultimately climaxing in the final song - Track 15: Sunset Ribbon Red.Written specifically for the album by Clinton Gahweiler and Theo Crous, the track features all of the artists and carries a poignant message, defining and beautifully communicating the purpose of the album.
