@joe9320 Yes, almost all commuter trains here are in fact pulled by diesel electric types. Only a few railroads on the East coast use the electrics

@CoasterFan2105 So New York has commuter electric trains, am I right? I live in Melbourne in Australia and here every capital city that has a commuter rail network use electrics.
