This exercise is a great way to learn patterns used in walking bass lines that can also be applied to other types of bass lines and styles of music.

A broken arpeggio is an arpeggio that doesn't necessarily play all the notes in an arpeggio or in the "correct" order. Below are 6 different examples of these arpeggios outlining the notes to the most commonly played chords, Major, Minor, Dominant 7, Major 7, Minor 7 and Half Diminished which is also known as a Minor 7b5 chord.
