That was the best roller coaster ever. It was so old and dangerous! I remember one day a board fell off. I loved how it felt like you were off the track on the first drop.
I was never able to ride the Flyer Comet, but since I found out about Whalom Park after it closed, I wish I was! Thanks for posting this video so people can experience the ride for the first time since 2000! Great video (you can try to improve on the quality though, if you can).
i agree with you was able to go on over and over again, The thing that made it so scary was the fact you never knew if it was going to be the last ride of your life the way the thing shook i thought it was going to fall apart
I agree with you on bout the go carts I have a video of them lol... was a strange layout and towards the end was like driving through the jungle. This ride is almost identical to the Thunderbolt at Six Flags New England simple figure 8 coaster
Remember it well just like it was yesterday. Mom and Dad would take us kids every year to Whalom, although my favorite ride wasn't the flyer comet, but was the custer cars (go carts).thanks for making a 56 yr old man feel like he is 12 yrs. again :-)
Thanks for posting this video! Now, anytime we want to ride the 'Flyer Comet' at Whalom Park...we can at least do it here. Love the sound of that track - really brought back that thrill. I'm so glad you took that chance to video while on the ride...and a good job of it too!
my first rollercoaster too. i loved being able to go on over and over again because there was no line. i was always a little worried the whole thing would fall apart while i was on it too. after going on rides like superman, this coaster seems so boring now but i still miss it.

I made a copy of this ride for no limits, and posted on coastersims. You can download it there.
