The Loyal Order of the Sword - Encanto Park Nov, 2005

We are the Loyal Order of the Sword, a society that practices and teaches the Western martial art of swordsmanship. We practice with real weapons but still take precautionary measures with our weapons and gear. All of our edged weapons are dulled and blunted. This is the real thing--Western martial arts and not olympic style fencing. We do require our members to wear fencing masks, gloves, neck protection, and pads. Anything additional is more than acceptable. We use actual rapiers and daggers, broadswords and axes, and yes... we have many suits of armor to fight in as well.

We are swordfighters, not re-enactors, and we are not the SCA. The group itself has a 20 year history with a combined experience of over 100 years! With over 50 life-long members and constant newcomers, the Loyal Order of the Sword provides the best and most accurate fighting experience available with a range of different experience levels. Whether you are a novice or an advanced fighter, we welcome you to come and swordplay with us.
