Thanks you bunches for this wonderful recipe! I tried peach cobber for the first time yesterday and it was perfection! The note about taking more time to cook unripe peaches was very useful. Finally the crust came out as a beautiful dark caramelized confection- crisp and chewy. Absolute perfection with vanilla ice cream! It was a hit!

I would like to make this with Soy milk instead of dairy. Do you think it will turn out OK. I dont want to waste all the peaches to have this flop. It looks delicious. Debbie

Have you ever added granola to it? cause that's what I did.
could u use canned peaches?

@krystandsteven - not with this recipe...it would be too sweet. You should be able to find a recipe that uses canned peaches

I have a question could you take the crust batter and like layer it throughout the cobbler (Ex. layer of peaches layer of crust batter) and it still be delicious because I like crust in my cobbler and on top or do you have a recipe for pie crust for the layering method

@kisses36081 - that's a good question. I have never tried it, but I imagine it would work. You'd have to test it and let us all know if it works.

holy cow, that much sugar? no wonder we have diabetes in this country...
gaozhi2007 1 year ago
@gaozhi2007 - Seeing as this recipe makes enough to serve 10-12 people I don't think the amount of sugar is excessive for a homemade dessert made with fresh fruit and ingredients. The reason our diabetes is so high in this country is not because of the amount of sugar in homemade desserts, but rather people's inability to control their portions, their consumption of processed foods and their lack of exercise. Just sayin'.
