@LEGOMASTER1K Who said mine was a kit? But did you guys build all the electronics from scratch!? I used all hand soldered analog electronics in my first robot, it was a braitenburg vehicle. I'm now a full time robotics researcher. Sky's the limit :-)

@TheAdLab Me and my friend have you beat by 2 an 3 years! plus ours is made out of recycled motors and is NOT a kit. a video will be posted in due time!

considering they were 15 and 11 I don't think they were concerned with stability... I say very impressive considering how old you were.
(I put together a mobile robot when I was 16 so you beat me by a year ;-) )

No, though we did have goals to how much weight it could lift extended and retracted.
The rotating base is a the top of a tin can with marbles under it around the edge sitting on top of hard disk drive bearings. I wish I was a motivated as I was then.
