Baitullah Mehsud accepts responsibility for attacks in Lahore and Islamabad

Baitullah Mehsud has accepted the responsibility for the attacks on the Lahore police academy. However, he has denied any role in the suicide attacks on mosques such as the one which obliterated such as the one which the disrupted the Friday prayers congregation in Jamrud. After Mehsuds threat of more attacks in future in Pakistan political analysts have reviewed the situation as a call for military reaction against Mehsud. Interior minister Mr. Rehman Malik has called the incident as an attack on Pakistan and suggested that the government should take action against Mehsud. Meanwhile the authorities investigating the attacks on the Manawan Police Academy have revealed that the attack had much in common with that launched on Sri Lankan Cricket team on 3rd March 2009 in Lahore. According to the Middle East News website, News transparent a close connection is suspected between terrorists in Punjab and South Waziristan.
