  • @paisleyization You oughta hear the Standells' version of "Paint it Black". You'd hear a lot of the Rolling Stones ... and then some! a real killer version!!!

  • Great Song! Originally the "b" side of "Dirty Water". Here was a simple rule that worked in the 1960s: If a band released a great hit single, you'd wonder if the album follow-up would be any good. If the band released a great hit single with a great "b" side, you'd know that the album follow-up would be a killer worth saving your allowance money for.

  • This is my favourite Standells recording. This is the "Dirty Water" LP version. A couple of years ago I found a Standells CD called "The Best of the Standells" on the RHINO label. That CD has a RARI clip that is 5:03 minutes long. It's a pretty good CD!

  • i wore out that track on the album as young teen

  • @star542011 Morgan David that was Mogan's brother he took over the wine biz, when Mogan decided to become a rock star1

  • Remember back in the day when the DJs would test play new records on the air, and if enough people called they would also play the B side as well.

  • Best 60's song !

  • I always loved this b side,very beautiful song

  • there is 2 minutes of dead air at the end of this, can you trim it?????

  • I used to have this 45. I haven't heard this in decades..these guys used the organ to it's best for that nice 60's sound. I hear a bit of House of the Rising Sun in there.
