Well, yes it can be a meteorite. I am sure if you were standing in your back yard, it would have been lost behind either a tree level or rooftops. But from that high of an angle, it can look to be headed straight down- turning, etc. I personally saw one headed near straight down, so close I thought it was fireworks! But it was so huge then broke into 4 pieces. Awesome sight. This one however is too far away to call ANYTHING with absolute certainty, especially since none here have researched it.
