It has taken me 20 years to find a video of Clayton Heafner swinging a golf club and I found it on this video. I know it doesnt seem like a big thing but you have no idea how awesome this is for me.
I live in Charlotte and played at Claytons golf course Eastwood for many years before it was ripped up for a bi-lo.... sad day. I used spend hours listening to the old timers talk about Clayton and his antics. I played in the last Heafner memorial 1999. Great golfer, great man... TY for this.
We should never forget THE GREAT ICONS OF A TIME! AND WHO DOES NOT KNOW IT SHOULD LOOK AND KNOW ABOUT THE FILMS WERE, WHO ARE GREAT ACTORS! IS A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE! A GREAT MEMORY! CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN FOR THE EXCELLENT WORK!
This is a rare appearance by Bing outside of his Paramount features; he agreed to do this because of his ties to the Professional Golfers of America, and had his arranger/conductor John Scott Trotter (who worked on his Decca records and NBC "KRAFT MUSIC HALL'" radio show) provide the music. The producer/director of this film, Herbert Polesie, later became a regular panelist on radio's [and early TV's] "TWENTY QUESTIONS".
