衝撃新燃岳噴火 Mount Shinmoedake, scene of the 1967 James Bond film "You Only Live Twice", erupted for the first time in 52 years on the southern Japanese island of Kyushu. The dramatic eruptions began on January 19, 2011 and have continued through the posting of this video. This is a compilation of amateur and news videos, as well as scenes from "You Only Live Twice" starring Sean Connery. Shimoedake is notable for having been used as a location for "You Only Live Twice" as the volcano in which the villain's secret rocket base is located.

The great John Barry dies (film composer of you only live twice and many others), and The you Only Live Twice volcano erupts at the same time?
Surely the end of the world or perhaps the volcano's tribute??????
