Don Blackman - Holding You, Loving You (Bass)

This is a study in minimalism... so perfect. Barry"Sonjohn" Johnson on da bass.

I think i'm gonna play over every joint on Don's first LP, it's just THAT good. Heck, I even got it on 12" !

There is a superb piano solo after the 3 minutes mark, if you wanna hear it, get this album, it's all worth it.

There are people who are more creative with a 300$ sampler than any "true musician" will ever be(and i'm pretty sure Tim can do both ;) Plus,he's not jamming but playing note for note Barry Johnson's (perfect)bass line,except for that tasty pluck at 0:41 that match the drummer's open hihat accent.

but, in the original bassline you can feel a little break on the bassline, I'm not able to say exactly where.. isn't it?

I don't know why I still haven't heard it played in any of the video covers I found here on YT.... what do you think?
